Gargoyle

I try to be modest most of the time, but I'll be damned if this one did not turn out to be utterly fantastic. The main figure base was a removable mask Venom. I removed one finger from each hand (for all you "on model" geeks out there) and cut off the ends of the feet. Three-toed feet (again, for the "on model" yahoos) were added from one of those animated Hulk mutant lizard sidekick things. The head is the Avengers box set Hulk's, with ear wings added from a Marvel vs. Capcom Morrigan. Horns were made using bits of X-Men Sauron's wingtips. All of the stone-like costume details, shorts, and boots are sculpey.

I tried a different effect with the paint job, opting for a drybrushed finish. I felt that it was really necessary to bring out the details in the texture of the skin and the stone-like costume.

From the back, you can see the wings, cut from a vampire bat that came with the Morbius Unbound from the old Spider-Man line.
